Who We Are
A coalition of passionate individuals and organizations serving veterans across Northern New Jersey.
About Our Coalition
The New Jersey Veterans SOS Stakeholders are a coalition of passionate individuals and organizations serving veterans across Northern New Jersey. Our members represent a diverse range of service providers dedicated to supporting veterans and their families.
Together, we are committed to empowering local veterans and tackling the most pressing issues they face, including homelessness, mental health struggles, unemployment, and more.
Our coalition hosts bi-annual County Networking Meetings across different Northern New Jersey counties. These collaborative gatherings allow us to become familiar with each organization's services, identify service gaps and redundancies, establish partnerships and referrals, share best practices, and generate innovative solutions to better meet veterans' requirements.
Our Mission
The mission of NJ SOS Vets is to advocate for, support, and empower veterans in Northern New Jersey. We are a coalition of passionate individuals and organizations united by a commitment to connecting veterans with the resources they need to transition back to civilian life successfully. NJ SOS Vets collaborates across sectors to address issues like homelessness, unemployment, mental healthcare, and suicide prevention.
Through advocacy, education, community building, and direct services, we work tirelessly to improve the lives of local veterans and their families. Our goal is to ensure that every veteran in our community has access to housing, healthcare, job opportunities, and a strong support system. We believe that through cooperation and collective impact, we have the power to create meaningful change for veterans in need.
Our Work & Impact
We engage in non-partisan policy advocacy to ensure veterans access the care, benefits, and opportunities they deserve. We educate lawmakers and advocate for legislation addressing healthcare, disability benefits, education, employment, suicide prevention, and housing assistance. Our free community events—Benefit Information Sessions and Veteran Appreciation Luncheons—provide essential resources and camaraderie while covering topics from healthcare access to entrepreneurship and suicide awareness.
The New Jersey Veterans SOS Stakeholders coalition unites organizations and individuals committed to veterans. By leveraging our collective knowledge, resources, and connections, we amplify veterans' voices and drive meaningful impact through policy advocacy, comprehensive support, and lasting positive outcomes for local veterans and their families.
