Honoring the Women Who Served
On June 12, 2025, our community came together for Women Veterans Appreciation Day — a meaningful evening dedicated to recognizing the courage, dedication, and service of the women who have answered the call in the United States military.
Hosted in partnership by YWCA Northern New Jersey’s Operation Sisterhood, Catholic Charities Diocese of Paterson, and NJ SOS Veteran Stakeholders, the evening brought together veterans, families, community partners, and supporters for a night of recognition, reflection, and celebration.
An Evening of Recognition
Throughout the evening, honorees were celebrated for their service and their continued commitment to the veteran community. Guests heard heartfelt remarks, shared in moments of reflection, and connected over a common mission: making sure the women who served are seen, supported, and appreciated.
Too often, the contributions of women veterans go unrecognized. Gatherings like this one exist to change that — to give our women veterans the appreciation, and the welcome, they have more than earned.
